Heroes vs. Villains

Theme Breakdown

Are you the hero, the villain, or somewhere in between?

Your submission should bring a superhero or supervillain concept to life. Your character does not have to be an existing comic book character. Original heroes, villains, antiheroes, costumes, fashion concepts, makeup looks, and creative interpretations are welcome.

Push the concept. Tell a story. Give us imagery that belongs in the pages of Human Canvas Magazine.

Submission Requirements

• Submit 4–6 of your best photographs.
• Images should be approximately 8 × 11 inches at 300 DPI and suitable for print.
• Submit your strongest finished and edited work.
• Include complete credits for everyone involved in the project, including names and Instagram handles where applicable.
• Credits may include photographer, model, makeup artist, hairstylist, wardrobe stylist, designer, creative director, body painter, and other participating creatives.
• Make sure your submission follows the theme of the issue you are submitting for.

Please double-check names, spelling, social-media handles, and credits before submitting. Information provided with your submission may be used for publication credits.
